From SaaS Product Leader to AI Transformation Expert

The Starting Point

In April 2023, I was running a $110M revenue software company with zero AI tools and zero AI strategy. But I had a deep tech background - server hardware, Microsoft MVP, early AWS adopter - and I recognized the pattern. This was the cloud migration all over again, but faster and with higher stakes.

The Bet

There was no playbook for enterprise AI transformation. No consultant was going to figure this out for me. So I rolled up my sleeves and started. I created Weds.ai - weekly hackathons where the entire company worked on real AI projects, not theoretical exercises.

The Method

AI adoption became mandatory. Video on. No excuses. I led from the front, building my own AI workflows before asking anyone else to. We built Second Brains - personalized AI assistants trained on our company knowledge. We chose forced usage over optional exploration because optional doesn't work.

The Results

In three years: 4x revenue per headcount. 3M lines of code reduced to 125K. Board deck prep went from a full day to 90 minutes. Customer support is 80% AI-handled. Product specs that took multiple days now take an hour. Bug backlog is at a 34-year company low.
